Martyn took this pic this morning - you can see the steam coming off the water. Near the edge it is really hot especially if you put your toes deep into the pebbles, out in the lake it is cold so we decided not to go with one of our ideas which was to get a hobie cat and go sailing. I didn't fancy falling off into the cold water!
Just along here beyond the 'Danger Hot Water' sign there is water coming out of the ground...Lyall: (weilding the camera) Mmmmm I wonder how hot that water is?
Janet (sticking her toes in) S--t !!!! that is B----y hot! She is now receiving treatment for burns!
This afternoon Janet and Martyn went exploring for good things to do....... Lyall and Michelle had a nanna nap! Have had dinner now and going for ice cream!!! Hi this is me Janet just wanting you to know we miss you Kara and Mark and Dan and William. Havng lots of discussions about what to do next. Michelle keeps trying to pyke out on the "good stuff" but tomorrow I think we have her stitched up for a thrill ride so watch this space. Loving Lake Taupo it is so lovely the views from our apartment are very nice indeed. Could get used to this but you grandchildren keep pulling us back.
